Dr. Ned Bixby, PT, DPT

Dr. Ned Bixby grew up in a small town 90 minutes north of NYC called New Paltz. He attended Syracuse University where he obtained his Bachelor’s in Health and Exercise Science. He then moved to NC to obtain his Doctorate of Physical Therapy at UNC-Chapel Hill.

He has always had a curiosity for human movement and decided to dedicate his life to learning about how the body operates and the constant adaptations the body takes to complete the tasks at hand. He has gained extensive experience working for a small family owned practice as well as a large hospital system since 2018. However, he learned that achieving the best results wtih his patients was often compromised by insurance limitations and regulations. He realized the best way to achieve the optimal outcomes for his patients was to start his own company with a focus on improving people’s performance. Whether this is through competition, recreation, or everyday activities, his focus is on helping you reach your goals to remain active and healthy.

The Tennis/Pickleball Expert

While Dr. Ned Bixby began as a general Physical Therapist, treating patients from infancy to late geriatrics with orthopedic, neurologic, and cardiovascular pathologies, he has always enjoyed working with individuals who enjoy playing tennis and/or pickleball.

Dr. Ned Bixby has been playing tennis since 1998 and pickleball since 2005 and fell in love with how these sports can be played for the duration of your life. Being able to move and participate in such activities is so important for one’s physical and mental health. The tennis and pickleball communities understand this and strive to be on the court on a consistent basis. It is why he has enjoyed working with these athletes so much. He is committed to helping you not only stay on the court, but also helping you improve your performance.
